Three common TPE processing methods
TPE can be processed using general rubber processing equipment or plastic processing equipment. After correct control of processing temperature and processing conditions, the quality of the finished product produced is uniform and stable. Commonly used processing methods are extrusion, injection and film blowing.

One: bet out

The mixing process of TPE can be carried out by a twin-screw extruder or a single-screw extruder. For best results, when using a twin-screw extruder, its L/D ratio is preferably above 21/1. If a single-screw extruder is used, It is recommended that the L/D ratio be above 30/1; as for the mixing temperature, it is recommended to set the temperature range between 180-230 ℃ (need to be adjusted according to the form of the extruder and the composition of the mixture).

Two: shot

TPE ingredients can be molded in various ways to produce the desired finished product. Injection molding is one of the more commonly used methods. When the injection molding method is used, the L/D ratio of the injection machine must be at least 15/1, and the compression ratio of the screw must be between 2/1-3/1. The injection temperature depends on the composition of the ingredients, usually between Between 190-230℃.

Three: blown film

The blown film processing uses a down-blown PP blow molding machine, an up-blown PE blow molding machine, a calender, a profile T-Die extruder/Profile extruder, and a laminating machine. The process includes inflation blown film, drying, and film collection. In general, the speed of extrusion, the speed of winding, and the strength of the film blowing wind will determine the thickness of the finished product.
